Did you know that the function keys on your keyboard can help you save time?
Here’s how:
This shortcut will open the PDF of the Reference Manual. To try to find a topic within the manual you can press Cntrl + F. This will populate a FIND box to type in a topic you are searching for.
This key can be used to lock the EMR application.
This key opens the Patient Monitor window while in the Desktop Navigator. For example, click My Workflow under the Desktop Navigator then highlight Phone Messages. Highlight the patient name within Phone Messages. Next press F3 and the Patient Monitor window will display.
This function closes the current chart that is open and will open the Desktop tab.
This key opens the Chart tab in the application.
This key will open the Appt Book tab in the application.
This key opens the Desktop tab in the application.
Press this key while in a patients chart to switch to the Demographics tab.
Press this key when in a patients chart to switch to the Medical Information tab.
Press this key when in a patients chart to switch to the Summary tab.
Press this key when in a patients chart to switch to the Encounter tab.
NOTE *** Place cursor in the patient search field box. Press the F12 key and it will populate the last patient viewed.
