As we continue to receive questions about maximizing participation in the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP), we want to reassure you that your MicroMD team is here to help as QPP trusted advisors.
While the CMS QPP website is a great start for an in-depth understanding of the program, we’re dedicated to helping you use your MicroMD software and eSERVICES to maximize QPP participation depending on your practice goals. Read on to learn more about how we’ll help your practice navigate this year’s incentive and payment programs.
The MicroMD QPP Taskforce
The MicroMD QPP Taskforce is comprised of MicroMD team members from multiple departments who have been gathering client inquiries and input and meet regularly to pool collective knowledge and resources. QPP Taskforce goals include launching educational opportunities, MicroMD guides, software documentation, training programs, and communications. Whether you’re participating in the QPP through the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) or through an advanced Alternative Payment Model (APM), the QPP Taskforce is working to help you to take full advantage payment adjustments and bonus payments.
MicroMD QPP Client Alert Emails
We have been sending MicroMD Client Alert communications to share additional notifications and resources for the Medicare QPP and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs. These communications feature CMS notifications, product releases, education, training, and resources to help you meet your 2017 QPP goals with MicroMD. The QPP Information Center on the MicroMD Lounge
Recently we have added a board to the MicroMD Lounge called the QPP Information Center. This board hosts resources, prep courses, and QPP FAQ’s all in one place.
A few cool resources to mention on this board include:
- The MicroMD EMR 2017 MIPS Quality Matrix: The first tab in the matrix identifies 2015 Edition certified MicroMD MIPS Quality Measures available for EMR direct submission (45 Total) and the Claims only Quality measures that could be submitted via MicroMD PM (74 Total). This tab also identifies recommended measures by specialty based on the top MicroMD EMR specialties. Use the “Filter” drop downs in Row 7 to look at the available measures by submission method and/or specialty. The matrix also includes a second tab featuring the MicroMD EMR certified Quality measures that are only applicable to the MicroMD EHR Incentive Program (8 Total). - The MicroMD 2017 MIPS Improvement Activities (IA) Matrix: While many Improvement Activities take place outside of your PM or EMR software, MicroMD EMR offers functionality to help you meet the requirements for over 23 Improvement Activities. Use the “Filter” drop downs in Row 6 to sort by activity weighting and/or if the measure can be used for the ACI bonus score. Download it here or visit the MicroMD Lounge.
- MicroMD EMR Prep Courses: Look to this child board to see upcoming dates and information regarding MIPS & MicroMD: What you need to know 1-hour complimentary webinars that will cover your questions and concerns pertaining to the Merit-based Incentive Program and to learn about what we are doing at MicroMD to prepare our software for these upcoming changes. Recorded versions of these webinars will also be hosted on the board, so if you find that the live dates are inconvenient for your practice, please look out for those recorded versions.
