PQRS Reporting for 2016

In the Know About PQRS

By reporting on the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) program quality measures, individual eligible professionals (EPs) and group practices can quantify how often they are meeting a particular quality metric and avoid negative payment adjustments in 2018.

By reporting on the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) program quality measures, individual eligible professionals (EPs) and group practices can quantify how often they are meeting a particular quality metric and avoid negative payment adjustments in 2018.

For your performance in 2016, negative payment adjustments will show in your 2018 Medicare payments for those individual EPs and group practices who do not report on the program’s 2016 quality measures or whose reporting was not satisfactory for their performance in 2016.

Important Dates/Deadlines:

  • Last day for 2016 claims processing: February 24, 2017 at 11:59 pm EST
  • Last day for data report submissions: February 28, 2017 at 11:59 pm EST

The deadlines are fast approaching; however, it’s not too late to gather your information for reporting and to avoid those penalties. If you have not reported any PQRS measures for 2016 or you are not sure if you have met the PQRS reporting requirements for 2016, MicroMD has partnered with two eSERVICES partners that provide alternative registry submission solutions to help your practice navigate the waters:

For clients with MicroMD PM + EMR

We have partnered with ReportingMD, an ONC-certified company and a Qualified Clinical Data Registry for PQRS. Their TOM™ application (Total Outcomes Management) is a reporting tool that collects the data in your MicroMD databases, translates it, and prepares it for submission to CMS (for both individual eligible professionals and group practices).

Deadline to express interest with ReportingMD to meet 2016 CMS deadline: February 1, 2017

Submitting your claims data through Practice Insight’s PQRS Registry solution integrates your PQRS reporting with your normal claims-processing workflow (for both individual eligible professionals and group practices).
