Watch Now | No Surprises Act Tasks for Providers

Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act and its regulations require all providers to give “good faith estimates” to uninsured and self-pay patients in advance of their services. These requirements apply to all types of licensed providers.

On April 27th MicroMD and TriZetto Provider Solutions hosted a partner-sponsored event featuring healthcare IT expert Stanley Nachimson, who provided information on required content relating to the No Surprises Act. Stanley provided details on specific notices needed for patients and posting in offices, workflow suggestions for producing the estimates, enforcement, and additional No Surprises Act prohibitions against out of network billing for hospital and emergency services.

After watching viewers will be able to:

  • Describe the No Surprises Act provisions impacting providers
  • Explain the detailed forms and data content which must be given in writing to patients
  • Provide guidance on how to produce estimates
  • Provide guidance on additional future requirements of the No Surprises Act for providers
