Q2 2024: MicroMD PM & EMR Tips and Tricks
There are a variety of interesting tricks when using any software program, and MicroMD is no exception. Some of the following useful tips could help save you time and improve your financial bottom line. Let’s learn more.
Searching for Entries
MicroMD PM provides various methods throughout the system to find the records you need. With search boxes, lookup fields and find fields, you can type in a patient’s name or account number or birth date or SS No. to locate their records. You can type in a portion of the patient’s name or the description of a procedure code.
Here are some other ways you can search for entries within MicroMD:
Wild Card Characters
To search for information using wild cards, use the % sign to replace the set of characters you either do not know or do not want to type. You can insert % anywhere in the search field.
Underscore character (_)
Use the underscore character (_) as a single-character replacement marker. For example, typing _K brings up all patients who have a “K” as the second letter in their last name. If you type __K (two underscores and a K), the system lists all patients who have the letter “K” as the third letter in their last name.
